Student ministries gather students and their families as we enage in service, learning, and faith formation.

High School

Gathering and Going: Grades 9-12 meet twice a month for dinner, games, and conversation around issues of faith, social justice, and self-discovery.

Faith Formation: We meet each Sunday morning to check-in and explore the Gospel of the day.

Travel: We travel together to places like Holden Village, lutheran camps, service trips, and the ELCA National Youth Gathering.

Service: We engage with Salem's mission, Serving God by Serving Others through service with our neighbor, Salem Village, Family Promise of Skagit Valley, and other projects throughout the year.

Middle School

Confirmation: Confirmation is a program (not exclusively for middle school students) that invites us to explore our faith, learn more about the Bible and Lutheran Theology, as well as grow in community. This is a way to affirm the promises made in baptism. To learn more, contact Pr. Marc or Allison Ross, Director of Student Ministries.

Faith Formation: We meet each Sunday morning to check-in and explore the Gospel of the day.

Summer Camp: A highlight of the year, middle school students attend a week of camp together in Washington, Idaho, or Montana. We learn about the bible, engage in fun camp activities, serve, and grow in faith and in community.

Elementary

Faith Formation: We meet each Sunday morning to check-in and explore the Gospel of the day.

Elementary Retreat: Each Spring, we gather with other congregations to do a one-night retreat with Camp Lutherwood. We learn about the bible, spend time in nature, and have a lot of fun!

There are many other activities throughout the year - contact Allison Ross, director of student ministries to get connected and learn more!
